Not all necklaces can make you look wonderfully fabulous. Necklaces that complement the shape of your face can make you look more smashing than others.

Oval Shape
You are one of the lucky few. Any necklace shape and length will look great on you.
Round Shape
You need a necklace that adds length to your look. Choose long necklaces, 28″ to 32″, that fall below the collar bone to add length to your look.
Complement: Silver or gold necklaces with large links. Long or T-style necklaces with small gemstones.
Avoid: Chokers, short necklaces, large or rounded gemstones such as pearls.
Oblong Shape
To soften your look, by breaking up the vertical line created by an oblong face, choose shorter necklaces with delicate gemstones.
Complement: Choker style necklace made of stringed cultured pearls, rounded gemstones in any hue, silver and geometric gold-filled beads. A 16″ or 18″ necklace that ends in a “U” can also flatter this face shape.
Avoid: Long, small-link necklaces.
Heart Shape
You need to balance your look by softening and diminishing the sharp angle of your narrow chin.
Complement: You’ll look best in a choker or shorter necklace (especially one with a dangling pendant), a triple or double strand of pearls and necklaces with prominent gemstones.
Avoid: Geometric shapes, or pendants that end in a point.
Diamond Shape
Your face shape is like the oval shape but with corners. It can carry any necklace style, shape and color.
Complement: Drop crystals look beautiful with a diamond face.

Square Shape
Your face shape needs length and softness.
Complement: Wear a necklace, longer than 42 centimeters is best, with a dominant round or oval pendant or just one central gemstone. A simple strand of pearls that hang a little bit longer or a T-style strung with a deep but soft-toned gemstone also flatters this face shape.
Avoid: Chokers
Rectangle Shape
Your face shape, same with oblong shape, needs softening and width.
Complement: High choker with higher length, short necklaces or 16″-18″ necklace that ends in a “U” flatters this face.
Avoid: Long, small-link necklaces.
Triangle Shape
Your face shape is a heart shape with corners and angles.
Complement: Match the angles for impact or counterbalance them for softness. A wider look balances the triangle face.
Avoid: Necklaces that end with a point.
